The Cutera Xeo laser is the first 1064 nm Nd: YAG laser cleared by the FDA to permanently remove hair in patients of all skin and hair types.
Up to what energy can the Xeo Laser operate?
The Xeo laser can be used on up to 200 Joules, making it the most powerful laser available in the UK in a Beauty Salon environment.
How does the Xeo Laser differ from other beauty lasers?
Most beauty salon Nd:YAG lasers operate on 2.5 to 40 Joules and are only suitable for dark hairs, while the Xeo Laser can operate on up to 200 Joules and with its IPL attachment can be used on both light and dark hairs.
Are there any skin reactions?
There is a mild heat reaction on the skin, this is soon normalised by the Laser cold attachment.
Is it painful?
The treatment is very comfortable and many clients claim it is less painful than waxing.
How many treatments are required for permanent hair removal?
Around six treatments is enough for most people but this can vary.
Are the Healing Hands therapists trained to operate a medical laser?
Yes, all the therapists have undergone extensive training over a six month period and have operated the laser for at least two years.
Is Red Vein treatment successful with the laser method?
Yes, in our experience the Laser method for most cases is quicker and more effective than the shortwave diathermy. One or two treatments on the area is usually enough.
